What is the Day Program?
My Camp provides a place outside the house for older and
younger adults with many types of developmental disabilities to be active in
the community and socialize with their peers. Additionally, participation in a
day program allows time for caregivers to work outside the home, attend to
their own needs or the needs of other family members or just time to relax.
Who is eligible to attend and
how do participants pay for day services?
Anyone with MR/DD diagnoses with service from Sikeston Regional Care Center. Funding for the program comes from the Department of Mental
Health.
What kinds of activities does
the day program provide?
Depending on the participants interests and needs, the
services offered by My Camp include recreational activities such as:

What is a typical day at My
Camp?
The typical day varies for each person, however this is a
schedule of the day program:
7:00 – 8:00 A.M. Van Route
8:00 A.M. Arrive at My Camp
8:00 – 9:00 A.M. Activities
9:00 – 9:15 A.M. Snack/Drink Break
9:15 – 11:00 A.M. Activities
11:00 – 11:30 A.M. Lunch
11:30 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Activities
1:00P.M. – 1:15 P.M. Break
1:15 – 2:00 P.M. Activities
2:00 – 3:00 P.M. Van Route

Are we licensed or certified?
Yes, we have a certification from the Department of Mental
Health for On-Site Day Habitation.
Does the staff have specific qualification for the job?
Yes, the staff is trained in Level 1 Medication
Administration, CPR and First Aid.
Is transportation available?
Yes, through grants from the Missouri Department of
Transportation. My Camp is able to offer transportation to and from the Day
Program. Routes run daily beginning at 7:00A.M. with everyone arriving back
home around 3:00P.M.. Individuals are transported from within Perry County.
